Personal email assistant

A privately operated assistant for finding, reading and summarising the owner's email.

This site describes a personal installation of the open-source Hermes Agent software. It is not an official Nous Research website, a public email service, or an invitation for other people to connect their accounts.

What the Gmail connection does

The integration requests the Gmail read-only permission, gmail.readonly. It allows the assistant to search and read authorised messages and provide summaries to the account owner. This permission does not allow sending, modifying or deleting mail.

How processing works

The assistant runs on the owner's computer. Selected email content and relevant conversation context are sent directly to Anthropic's Claude API to produce responses. OAuth credentials are stored in the assistant's local profile, not on this website.
